CAVOA member John Ravic has been an active participant in most of our motorsport activities over the last few years. Most of you will remember the drag day John was well and truely the last car left circulating after everyone else had packed up for the day. This year John steps it up a notch and has entered the upcoming Targa Tasmania rally. Check out John's progress on his website... |

At the last club meeting the committee and members decided to participate once again in the upcoming Motorex display at Homebush. We have been a part of this show since the beginning and have decided to participate once again despite some changes to the show. This year there have been a number of changes for the whole show and this includes a special section called "Muscle Car Marvel". This means that cars on the club display need to be "muscle car" style vehicles. We apologise to members whose vehicles do not fit into this category - it's not our decision. If you wish to have your vehicle displayed as part of the CAVOA club display please contact Nik ASAP on 0417 0416 12. We are also looking for volunteers to man the desk at the club display over the weekend so if you are available for a few hours let us know. Entry fees have increased this year but the club will cover the cost of entry for each vehicle as usual. |

Our Darling Harbour Display Day in February was a great success. We had 41 cars attend the show and a good turn out of spectators, hopefully we can cope a break with the weather next year 3 years of rain is becoming a bit much. It’s also good to report that we sent a cheque out for $1700 to Barnardo’s Children Charity, thanks to all those who entered and bought raffle tickets/ merchandise and helped us raise this amount. Also thanks to our sponsors of the day, Anzini Services Pty Ltd Dominator Engines G.A.C Electronics Nomad Lift Trucks Pentastar Parts & Restorations Shannons Insurance Stauff Corporation, Pump Division Suburban Towing and Equipment Who, without their support, we wouldn’t have been able to make this the day possible so please support them if you can.
