Welcome to another edition to the Pentashield. Unless you have been
under a rock for the last month or so you will be aware how busy the
NSW Mopar calendar has been.
Big congratulations go out to the Albury-Wodonga Chrysler Club on the
outstanding job again for the Mopars on the Murray. This show just gets
bigger and better every year and this year did not fail to impress. The
spotlight this year was on American Muscle Cars, and there was plenty
of eye candy to satisfy every whim. Well done.
The Drag Day has come and gone. See elsewhere for a detailed report but
a BIG THANK YOU goes out to everyone who participated in making the day
just perfect. Hopefully we will see more club interaction on a level
like this. This interaction is what it is all about; meeting fellow
enthusiasts with the same ideals and thoughts and sharing a general
love/passion. It could be someone in our own club or someone in a
different club. And it’s not all about being one eyed. I guess I joined
the club because of cruises with a bunch of Chrysler nuts. I have made
some very strong friendships along the way and have never looked back.
These guys have helped me build a better car but more importantly to be
a better person. I hope our club has some type of event to cater for
all of its members and their particular taste.
Just a reminder that the new club shirts are available for $28.00. The
club jackets are all but gone. Darling Harbour day shirts are still
available and are at a discounted price.
Don’t forget our club website (www.cavoa.com) which has plenty of
photos of all the action that’s been going on, and a thanks to all
those who contribute to it.
We are in the process of getting the great Leo Geoghegan to come to a
club meeting soon. Stay posted for details as they come to hand.
Take care and safe motoring
