Events Report June
2004
Welcome to another eventful report.
It has been a long time since we had a
run to Terrigal on the central coast and I think it was a surprise to
many just how good a venue it is for a car run. The headland park
provided some great views up and down the coast and a very convenient
place for the BBQ. I took the Dodge and as I lead the group I managed
to smoke out both myself and the rest of the crew. The 383 does not
have much compression and hence has significant by pass which blows
oil all over the exhaust manifolds. The weather was fantastic but
with no rain and the water restrictions it is making it harder to
clean our cars properly.
The June run will be over by the time
you read this. Ray jnr organised the second Mopar Muster to be last
Sunday and it promised to be a very large run indeed. I’m sure
someone will report on it in the next magazine.
The next event is the Motorex Show at
Homebush RAS show grounds on July 3rd & 4th.
We need cars to display and volunteers to man the stand on Saturday
AM and PM, and Sunday AM. Please see Ray or myself if you can help.
We have numbers and deposits paid for
our Winter Escape weekend but it is not too late to come along. We
are going to Broulee Caravan Park, which is south of Batemans Bay, on
the 23rd and 24th July. Note that
the date has changed from that previously advertised. It had to be
put back a week due to the school holidays.
On August 14th we have a new
type of club run. We are planning on meeting at Cronulla on the
Saturday evening and driving around to La Perouse for dinner at one
of the food establishments there. Also in August there is the
Chrysler Wake run on the weekend of the 28th and 29th.
September is our annual Berrima run on
the 19th and in October we have the All Chrysler Day show
on the 17th October.
All for now,
Graham
