Hi Mopar Lovers,

Where does the time go? Another year has now almost gone and it has been 6 months since I've had my van on the road - that is now my highest priority! I'm missing the old girl so much and hopefully I will get the rego done this week and be back driving something with a bit more power. We all know you can’t have enough of that! Although the VIP is no slouch for most traffic light encounters, sometimes you really need to show em how it’s done. The old panno is quite adept at doing just that with original big valve heads refitted with hardened valve seats and bronze valve guides. Now I just have to fit the extractors waiting at the workshop.

I believe Nick has been working on the club web site and we are back online at a temporary site. We are waiting for somewhere permanent to house it at the moment and no doubt we will be looking for our domain name. It’s great to get back online and hopefully we can get our site loaded with useful information, including plenty of pics from club runs etc.

We are very much in need of club cars for historic registration. If you feel your car is in need of historic rego please contact Graham Castle so arrangements can be made. We are a few cars short of the requirements to enable this to proceed. Also bear in mind the limitations of using this facility; club runs and/or authorised invitation runs only is very much the go.

At this point in time it gives me great pleasure to announce that we finally have been able to relieve Adam Stables from his All Chrysler Day Committee duties. Adam has represented our club on this committee for a good many years, and has done the job in an excellent manner. I know Adam has been keen to get a break and thankfully John Huntington has put up his hand to take over as a representative. I commend Adam on his excellent work and thank him sincerely for his devotion to the club. Well Done Adam!

You will also notice in this issue of the Pentashield an entry form for the Darling Harbour display day. If you are interested in attending as an entrant please ensure you get your entry form in as soon as possible. Remember space is limited as we are sure to fill up the bridge again. We thank Chrysler Jeep Australia for their continued support - without a major sponsor it would be very hard to run this event.

Well that's all for now; remember the silly season is almost upon us so make sure you drive safely and soberly and I look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year.

Yours in Mopar,

Ray
