FROM THE EDITORS DESK
Welcome to another issue of the Pentashield.
Once again Chryslers on the Murray was a great weekend. Well done to
the Albury-Wodonga Chrysler Club. Also thanks to my wife for making it
such an enjoyable weekend. It really is great to go away and have such
a good time visiting wineries, chatting to fellow enthusiasts and
admiring fine cars. Our club's reputation remains strong. On the
Saturday night, while wearing our matching "Fear This" T-shirts, Janice
and I were recognised as CAVOA's - those four-wheeled bikies! This
comment was made by someone from the Central Coast. Further I was
accused of doing (only) 100mph in overtaking 4 Chargers on the way back
from the Ettamogah pub. I have already attended to VAL 360 with new
plugs and leads!
Our club representation at Albury was right up to the high
standard of the event. It is great to see the club so strong with
enthusiasts as well as their cars.
In this issue I have tried to put together a bit of
information on the Police Chargers, inspired by Gerry's great display
at Albury with his K16 Charger. Further on a lighter note I have posed
the question 'How Mopar are you?'
The club member featured this month is one of our newer
members Mick Gionfriddo. He is clearly an enthusiast (as well as a nice
guy) and on reading his profile will score well in the above named
quiz.
Apologies to Bendix-Mintex for omitting them from the last
issues Darling Harbour sponsors. Please remember them when it is time
for brake pads or linings. They produce only quality products.
Our winter weekend escape is almost upon us. I look forward to
this event now in its third year. We always have a lot of fun and it is
an event for the whole family.
As always, for any omissions or inaccuracies I apologise.
Enjoy your Mopars and cheers.
John
