Welcome
to the April 2006 issue of The Pentashield.
We have
another bumper issue for you this month with a strong contribution from club
members.
This
issue features the following -:
-
A review of the movie “Duel” by Hugh Savage.
- An article by Fletch reviewing Chryslers on the Murray from his point of view.
- Another article by Fletch – Restoration pitfalls.
- Gerry Rivet’s impressions of the All Chrysler Day in Adelaide.
- Some interesting eye candy of Chrysler Concept Cars
Included
are Committee Member reports from Gerry and Nik and we have an updated Events
Schedule.
There
are of course some additional items of a humorous nature.
This
month I have included a list of Club Members and their cars in the pages
following this section. It is some years since we have published any list and I
thought it would be appropriate to allow members to see who is in the club and
the cars that they drive.
Upon
reviewing this list I notice that club members own a very wide range of various
Chrysler models, ranging from American Muscle to just about all the models
produced by Chrysler Australia.
There are even some recent Chryslers in the line up!
The
information for this list has been extracted from the membership renewal forms
that club members have completed in the past year. In some cases there was
missing information, such as the car colour, rego number or model year. I would
ask that members, when completing their membership renewal this year, update
the information about their cars to allow the publication of a comprehensive
list next year.
The
cover picture this month features the new Dodge Charger introduced recently in
the US.
Readers will be interested in the specs which have
been published on page 16 in this issue. Whether Daimler/Chrysler introduces
this car to the Australian market is a moot point at this stage.
Lastly
there is an Entry Form on the back page for our forthcoming Dyno Day. If you
have not yet entered this is your last chance for the pre-entry price!
Cheers,
Michael
