Welcome
to the August 2005 issue of The Pentashield.
Another year has flown past and I
wonder where the time went. During the year we managed to publish some
interesting technical articles in the Pentashield and I would like to thank
those club members who contributed their thoughts and expertise. Most of these articles
can be found on our Website in the Pentashield Technical Archives.
I
would also like to thank those club members who contributed to our occasional
items of interest that relate generally to Mopars. These articles are
particularly important to the realisation of a club magazine that covers the full
spectrum of club member’s interests.
This issue features the following -
- A short
article on the Chrysler Cordoba de Oro by John Huntington
- Another
short article by Andrew Davey on his mothers WRX.
- A Quiz on “How Mopar are you”?
by John Huntington
As usual we have included Committee
Member reports from Gerry and Nik and we have an updated Events Schedule.
In addition there are some quotable quotes
for members’ perusal and other items of a pictorial or humorous nature.
There is one letter to the Editor
this month. It is a significant letter and I urge all members to read it. The
letter, from Nik Ilijc, nominates Ray Webb Snr to be elected, at the
forthcoming AGM, to Life Membership of the Association. I enthusiastically
endorse this nomination as Ray’s contribution to the club has been outstanding.
His election to life membership would be a fitting recognition by the members of
his service to the club.
Lastly, a quick reminder that the Annual Subscription for
Club Membership is now due. Please note that members who have not paid their
subscription by the end of September will be removed from the register of
members and will not receive any further issues of the Pentashield or the
Pentasheet.
Cheers,
Michael
