The window of opportunity to drive around Oran Park is slowly but surely diminishing, so when the invite from our good friends at the 72-82 Ford V8 and Cobra Owners Association came some of us jumped at the opportunity. It was a chance to experience another one of Sydney’s many once great race tracks before it becomes pictures in the history books like Amaroo, Warwick Farm and Catalina. The Mopar contingent was small but willing, ready to take on the might of the blue oval. Fletch and Classic Resto’s was there to capture some of the action.
I would like to take this opportunity to give a big thanks to Julie and all the crew in the 72-82 Ford V8 and Cobra owners association for inviting us to have a great day. We got to enjoy our cars in a safe and pleasant environment with a good bunch of people, and able to enjoy a track where all of my touring car idols have been on in mostly similar cars, before it is destined to the history books. Bring on Wakefield Park.
